We are a growing team looking for a Risk & Compliance Advisor in the Operations department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our Madrid office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO …
As a Risk and Compliance Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety, security, and compliance programs, policies, and strategies. - Lead the design, development, and implementation of company-wide safety, security, and compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Regulatory compliance management: Oversee the company´s adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, including managing licenses, certificates and insurance. Ensure compliance with national and international guidelines pertinent to the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
- Documentation management: Draft, review, and manage a wide variety of documents, including internal policies, agreements and correspondence. Ensure these materials are clear, accurate and meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contract management: Maintain and organize contract database, tracking contract renewal dates, and ensuring timely execution of renewals or terminations.
- Assist in managing disputes by preparing necessary documents, coordinating with external advisors and supporting the resolution process through documentation and evidence gathering.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing safety, security and compliance processes and recommend and implement improvements to tools and practices.
- Collaborate with the external risk prevention advisor and the Office Manager to ensure compliance with internal health and safety requirements, including managing communications and ensuring practices meet established standards.
- Foster a work environment that prioritizes safety by ensuring all employees are informed about and consistently follow, established safety protocols and best practices.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR …
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Risk Management, Law, Business Administration, Compliance) or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus;
- Proven experience in safety, security, or compliance management roles, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- You speak and write Spanish and English fluently
- You have the ability to multitask and work independently with attention to detail and follow-through.
