sennder, Europe’s leading digital road freight forwarder, is expanding its office space in Wroclaw to accommodate the growing team. The company will lease another floor, over 1300 sqm., in Centrum Południe, the biggest Skanska investment in Wroclaw, and plans to interconnect the two floors together.

Centrum Południe is a multi-stage complex that will ultimately offer 85,000 sqm of modern office and retail space. Construction of the first phase ended in July 2020 and in July 2021, Skanska started work on the second phase. Centrum Południe will be the first Skanska’s WELL certified office building in Wroclaw. It has already been awarded with WELL Health-Safety Rating. The certificate is awarded to office spaces with the highest safety parameters, limiting the risk of disease transmission, while also allowing the creation of a healthy and friendly work environment.

sennder has occupied over 1,200 sqm of space and a 200-meter-long terrace since January 2021. A year later, it will lease another floor – over 1,300 sqm – and plans to interconnect the two floors together. The sennder Wroclaw team has grown 150% in a year, from 50 employees in 2020, to 120 employees at the end of 2021. sennder is looking to hire 58 additional staff in Poland in 2022.

"Poland remains a key region for sennder. With most logistics companies still operating on pen and paper; there’s strong appetite for sennder’s digital freight forwarding. We have been very impressed with the local talent in Wroclaw – we intend to grow our team of 121 employees to 190 people – many of whom are interested in returning to the office. We are fortunate to have a partner in Skanska that is flexible and can serve our needs for premium office space" says Krzysztof Koronkiewicz, Managing Director of sennder Poland.

sennder wants to create more than just a workplace and prides itself on the dynamism of its eight European offices. Part of the reason for expanding the Wroclaw office space is to provide workers with amenities such as a slide to transport employees between both floors, a pool table, and meeting rooms with movable walls to create a creative and collaborative working environment.

"sennder expanding its office footprint at Centrum Południe is evidence that offices still play an important role in terms of business growth. We are sure that sustainable and innovative spaces in Centrum Południe will be an asset supporting our tenant’s further development. This agreement is also a proof of trust for us" says Karolina Jamróz, Leasing Manager at Skanska’s commercial development business unit in CEE.

Centrum Południe has been built in accordance with the highest standards and the most demanding environmental certificates awarded to futureproof, safe and top-quality office spaces supporting people’s health and wellbeing as well as climate targets. It’s supplied with 100% electric energy from wind farms. In addition, it is the first office complex in Wroclaw where anti-smog pavement made of green concrete is used_._ Air-purifying filters, adiabatic humidifiers and a ventilation system provide as much as 30% more fresh air than standard office space, improving the air quality for workers. LED lighting is used in public areas, thanks to which the complex consumes up to one-third less energy than the reference buildings. The green areas around Centrum Południe are also cultivated without the use of harmful pesticides and herbicides.
